We just completed our one-step service on a customer’s Mazda 6. We had previously done some minor spot polishing on this particular car and knew from experience that the paint was quite soft. With that in mind, we looked for the least aggressive pad/compound combination that would freshen the paint and perform some minor swirl correction. I came across a recommendation from Todd Cooperider that suggested Scholl S40 Anti-Swirl Compound with black finishing pads. The S40 went on with ease and almost no dusting. Removal required little more than a wipe-off with micro fiber towels. I couldn’t believe the level of correction we were able to achieve with a single polishing pass. The after pictures of the car are featured in this post. The metallic flake in the paint was almost non-visible before the service. As you can see – it sparkles now.
